Why has Skyline College changed its name from ECPI Technical College?

We changed our name to Skyline College to better identify our commitment to our students and employers in the Roanoke Valley region and to better reflect the variety of programs offered at the College.

Is Skyline College accredited?

• Yes, Skyline College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)

• Skyline College in Roanoke, VA is approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health Professions, Board of Nursing to conduct a Practical Nursing Program.

• Skyline College is approved for the training of veterans and other eligible persons by the State Approving Agency for Veterans Education (SAA) of the Virginia Department of Veterans' Services.

• Skyline College is an eligible institution to train students under the sponsorship of the Virginia Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Skyline College is a member of the Career College Association whose purpose is to encourage and promote quality in the educational programs of its member schools.

Will I be able to transfer credits to Skyline College?

Skyline College welcomes applicants who have started their postsecondary academic programs at other schools recognized by Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Students who have satisfactorily completed coursework that is applicable to our academic programs may seek approval to transfer those credits to Skyline College. Please ask your admissions advisor for more information.

I have already completed all of my ECPI Technical College admissions materials, paid my deposit and begun my financial assistance paperwork? Do I need to begin this process again because of the change to "Skyline College"?

No, you will not be required to start over. Please continue working with the school staff to complete all paperwork so that you may start classes on time

Will any of the course offerings, instructors, or staff change as a result of the transition to Skyline College?

No, everything will be the same.
